  I dislike Trump just as much as you and Harris do. I may have taken a tangent perhaps, but I am just rather surprised that Sam argued in parts of the podcast more like the people he often debates.

  False analogy. Trump is not alone "flying an airplane". There's a cabinet, there's advisors, there's congress, there's a supreme court, there's powerful special interests groups, there's other countries' governments, there's the press, there's 320 million people who will help him or remove him way before the plain crashes. No, we are not dying in an airplane without a pilot.

  I may have to stand corrected on this particular podcast, but in previous podcasts about Trump, Sam has used ad hominem, hyperbole and mildly fallacious ways of argumentation.I am quite OK with many of us doing that, but I hold Sam to a higher standard because he uses very high standards in other critiques when Trump is not the subject. I can echo Sam's sentiments about Trump quite easily, I just believe that Sam has allowed his feelings to interfere with his almost flawless rational form of argumentation.

  Not really, I have seen him doing much better. Ad hominem is what many like to hear, especially when referring to Trump, but it's not the Sam Harris that I know and expect.

  It's been quite a year. Finally can move forward.

  looking back at this journey that my wife and i took this last year has been quite life changing.

  who would have ever thought that two watchtower drones would experience an awakening after child loss?

  we can finally move forward since coming out to our family that we will no longer be jehovah's witnesses.

  the one good thing is that the DNC, the RNC and the press will have to do a much needed soul searching. The message was loud and clear. People rather have Trump than the status quo. Scary as it sounds, it may help fix the broken status quo. All we have to do is survive the next four years.

  The overlapping generation doctrine - The epitome of stupidity?

  for years watchtower has taught that some of the people (anointed) who saw the events of 1914 will be alive to see the end of this system of things.

  102 years later and the end is nowhere in sight; another failed prophecy.. to remedy the situation they have concocted some 'new light' in the form of the overlapping generation doctrine.

  this new doctrine essentially states that the generation of 1914 consists of two groups of anointed whose lives overlap.
